Lovely food and a fab pub. Great for catching up with friends and family over good food and drink. Log fires are much needed in this weather, just a shame they weren't attended to - a roaring fire makes all the difference in the winter.
Usually get a really good meal here however Sunday lunch was average,could have been hotter. Still waiting for my extra gravy which didn't arrive due to the staff dealing with other complaints!!! Order didn't arrive all together always seemed to have an excuse as to why the service is so poor e.g. Having 10 other things to do before the waitress could deal with our request. Not happy
Popped in for a bite to eat late afternoon. Overall the food was nice, steak n ale pie really nice and the wife loved her pizza. The veg was really bad though, left on the pass a few weeks maybe? With a pie that good I couldn't care! Overall a really nice place. Recommended!
Food was excellent, though of course it took some time to prepare. Staff friendly, discrete and helpful. Ambience superb: real fires, comfortable and well spaced furniture. Excellent experience. Well done.
Today was really busy and the food took longer than usual. It was worth the wait as it was delicious and served by happy smiling staff even though they were so busy. Well recommended.
